The Icemen, an adult league hockey team comprised mostly of my friends, wanted a new logo that would reflect their energy, ferocity and ass-kickingness.
We wanted the design to be fun but tough and meet the ice + man + hockey + ferocious criteria. I wanted to steer away from the caveman reference feeling that a yeti was still man-like but tougher. (It’s the fangs and fur.) Combine that with a stone hockey stick and a skull puck and the criteria are met.
